The Madison County Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual golf outing at the London Country Club.

The fundraiser, held June 9, raised more than $10,000 for the organization, according to Brynne Mayne, director of marketing.

“What a perfect day we had for our annual golf outing,” Mayne said. “Thank you to all of those who came out to enjoy the tournament, dinner and entertainment. We attribute all of our successes to you.”

The 2016 teams were Madison Health, Stanley, BST, Chillicothe Packaging, DB Schenker, Utility Pipeline, Gra Mag (2), KFC, MATCO, Columbia Gas, Jay Car Construction, Arbor’s West, The Savings Bank and Flyers.

A Gra Mag team took the top spot, beating out BST by just one stroke.

The event was catered by Hudson’s Edge.

“We love the golf outing because it’s an opportunity to connect with our members and supporters outside of the typical office setting,” said Mayne. “It’s rewarding to see people genuinely enjoying themselves, but more specifically, enjoying giving back to the chamber.

“The chamber golf outing would never be a success without our volunteers and board members- we’re so grateful for their over whelming support.”
