Love is in the air this time of year. And a local school shows how much it loves the youth of its community.

For the 13th consecutive year, St. Patrick School of London is opening its doors for a Valentine’s Day dance.

The annual event — open to all Madison County students in sixth through eighth grades — will take place Saturday, Feb. 18 at St. Patrick School, 226 Elm St., London, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

The event includes music, coat check and concessions available for purchase. There is a $6 admission price (no reentry). Commemorative photos are available for $3.

The dance will be chaperoned by St. Patrick School eighth grade parents as well as school administration.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Patrick eighth grade class trip fund.
