Ohio Auditor Dave Yost will be speaking at this year’s Lincoln Day Dinner, a fundraiser to benefit the Madison County Republican Party.
The event will be held Feb. 23 at the First United Methodist Church, 52 N. Main St. in London.
Yost, a lawyer who served eight years as Delaware County prosecutor, announced his candidacy for Ohio Attorney General last month. He has served as state auditor since 2011.
Other notable Republican officials expected to be in attendance include U.S. Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Upper Arlington), Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Ohio Republican Party Chair Jane Timken, State Sen. Bob Hackett (R-London) and State Rep. Bill Dean (R-Xenia).
Other events include a raffle sponsored by the Women’s Club for a St. Patrick’s Day themed basket. The proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund.
The doors open at 6 p.m. for socializing with guests. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and include a salad, a main course of beef tenderloin or BBQ chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Dessert will feature pie and ice cream.
Cost to attend is $35 per person.
Those interested should RSVP with party chairman Nicholas Adkins at firstname.lastname@example.org or 614-648-2337.
