The Madison County Department of Job & Family Services is inviting the public to attend their fourth annual Carnival for child abuse prevention awareness.
The free event will be held April 28th at the London Community center, 60 S. Walnut St. from 5 to 8 p.m.
There will be carnival games and prizes for kids, a DJ, a photographer and a balloon artist. Free hot dogs, chips, popcorn and cotton candy will be provided. There will also be door prizes.
There will also be booths promoting various resources in the county that provide various types of assistance to Madison County’s families and help prevent abuse.
“Our goal is to provide a free fun night out for families while promoting our services in Madison County,” said Robin Bruno, Children Services Administrator with DJFS. “A big part of our success is if people are aware of what’s out there.”
The carnival is partially funded by donations. Prizes and monetary donations to help fund the event are graciously accepted. The department is also looking for items to help foster care such as cleaning supplies and small suitcases.
