The Village of West Jefferson will throwback to the 90’s this Saturday, June 27, as they show the film “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” on a projector at Garrette Park.
The movie will start at dusk.
“It was a good kid and adult movie,” village council member Ray Martin said at a previous council meeting.
Mayor Darlene Steele said this event is another push to create family-friendly events in the village.
“This is what the community wants,” Steele said. “To go all the way to Columbus for something, that can get kind of expensive.”
The mayor asked that attendees bring a small donation, and said hot dogs, snacks and drinks will be available for a small donation as well.
Attendees can bring chairs and blankets to sit on.
Steele hopes to additionally organize a “dive-in” movie at the pool sometime later in the summer.
