Loving Care Hospice and Home Health’s Annual Spring Dinner and Auction “Your Greatest Adventure” will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Tolles Career & Technical Center, 7877 U.S. Route 42, Plain City.
All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the organization’s “Patient Fund.” These funds take care of terminally ill patients who may be losing a battle to cancer, Parkinson’s, Dementia, etc. and may not have the hospice benefit within their insurance plan, or just do not have the funds to cover this much needed care.
The event will include a catered meal from the Der Dutchman, raffles and live and silent auctions with over 100 items to bid on. This year each guest will also receive a complimentary “Passport of their life.”
The theme originated from a recent trip medical director Dr. Jack Starr took to the Dominican Republic. During his trip, Starr thought about how a passport validates the places one has gone and seen.
“In our line of business we have the honor of being a part of a journey each and everyone of us will travel through,” a spokesperson said.
Loving Care Hospice was established in London in 1993 as the only local, nonprofit hospice agency and has remained that even 23 years later.
For those who cannot attend, the organization is collecting auction items.
