H.E.L.P. House hosts back to school outreach

The H.E.L.P. House is gearing up for its annual school outreach program, which provides backpacks to children from kindergarten to eighth grade.

The backpacks will be given out from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at H.E.L.P. House, 122 E. Center St., London.

The organization is looking for backpacks, No. 2 pencils, 24 count crayons, large glue sticks, washable markers, rounded scissors, pointed scissors, large erasers, colored pencils, rulers, pocket folders, vinyl zippered pouches, spiral bound wide-rule notebooks and plastic supply boxes.

Volunteers are needed to assist with set up for the back to school outreach event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11.

The next outreach will be Sept. 17 to distribute clothing for children and Oct. 22 for a coat giveaway.
