West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association (WJYAA) is now accepting volleyball registrations. The cost for registration is $65 and will be for students entering first through eighth grades.
The goal is to separate the players into two leagues by grade levels first through fourth or fifth through eighth. If there are not enough sign-ups to make two leagues, then all players will be put in one league.
The season will start when school starts with practices at the end of August and will end around the end of October or beginning of November with a tournament.
Sign-ups are being conducted online while in-person sign-ups are from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays Aug. 6 and Aug. 13 at the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library, 270 Lilly Chapel Road, West Jefferson. Check or money order no cash.
